Sculptures of wood
On shipyards and depots Rik Davids finds old, but usable bottom
planking and scrap wood. He dries, saws, sorts and assembles it
to a large dish.
These beautiful objects are all different and are available in
six different sizes. The charm of the wood is that it shows the
history of the material very well. Strokes of paint, nail holes,
signs of wear refer to a time that has past. |
