Some types of flowers have quite long peduncles, which makes it so the
flowers tend to become top-heavy when placed in a conventional vase.
For this problem a lying vase seems the best solution. The small
irregularities which always occur, when glass is handmade, have been
processed into the rim of the vase, and prevent it from rolling
away.
After
the vase has been filled with water and one single flower, it will
lie steady on its ‘centre of gravity’.
